JOB SUMMARY:

A division manager is the proverbial entrepreneur and self-starter. He/she is able to plan strategically and thinks several moves ahead. A student of the market place, he/she is very aware of competition, trends and shifts. Must be a very good manager of people, identifying prospective employees, and recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training and developing promotable personnel. Networking is a key activity for the successful division manager.

MAJOR OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce profit through sale, construction, and timely delivery of new homes
  • Grow the operation and maximize the company’s market share in the target geographic area
  • Promote and maintain a good reputation for integrity with customers, vendors, jurisdictions and in the public eye
  • Manage and supervise sales and construction personnel
  • Recruit, select and train sales, administration and construction personnel
  • Monitor and report on construction and sales
  • Manage good trade and customer relations
  • Land acquisition, due diligence and closing
